Bayswater Community Bible Study

You are very welcome to join us each week at Community Bible Study (CBS) as we explore the Bible together in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

No prior experience needed and the programme is open to everyone - men and women of all ages.

Community Bible Study International – “more than just a bible study”

The Community Bible Study (CBSi) is an international initiative to encourage people to read their bible and grow in understanding the scriptures. It has five key elements:

Individual study—questions to work on at home during the week

Discussion—the questions are discussed in small groups and insight shared

Teaching—a short talk is given on the passage each week

Commentary—there is a specially prepared commentary to take away and read.

Caring—the group offers prayerful support and encouragement to each other.

CBSi has been meeting at St. Stephen’s since 2006 and the group consists of members from a number of different, local churches. They meet every Friday during term time, at the church from 10am till noon. Some of the teaching is provided by visiting preachers. Refreshments are served and a crèche can be arranged on request.

CBSi at St. Stephen’s has now finished for the Summer but on Friday 14^th September 2012 they will begin a shorter, 12 week course studying the book of Daniel.
